    ➡️ How does UGC SHOP work ?

    UGC SHOP is a platform that connects brands with content creators to source the best quality content to use for ads and social media, without any headache. We handle the entire process from finding you the right content creators fit for your brand, to sending the products without the hassle and follow-up, and finally, ensuring the work submitted to you is up to our standards and on time.



    ➡️ Is User Generated Content actually useful?

    Oh I don’t know, do you like getting more sales and making more money?  

    Don’t take our word for it, here are some stats to reflect the importance of UGC and why every e-commerce business needs to invest in it: 

    1. Ads based on user-generated content receive 4 times higher click-through rates and a 50% drop in cost-per-click compared to average ads.
    2. More than half of consumers (50%) wish that brands would tell them what type of content to create and share.
    3. As few as 16% of brands have a strategy regarding user-generated content.
    4. More than 86% of companies today use user-generated content as part of their marketing strategy.   
    5. When users create and share content on social media channels, they get 28% higher engagement compared to standard company posts.

    ➡️ Is UGC SHOP a self-managed platform or will I have an account manager?

    As soon as you fill out your respective form, an account manager from UGC SHOP will be assigned to you and ensure your campaigns are set up properly. We understand that your time is valuable, so we handle all the details for you to ensure the process is smooth and hassle-free. 


    ➡️ How does UGC SHOP recruit its content creators?

    We have built a strong network of content creators from being in the e-commerce space and having sourced plenty of content ourselves for our clients. We also have designated team members whose role is to discover talent online, reach out to these creators and bring them on-board. We believe that there’s a lot of great work out there, you just need to know where to look and not everyone has the time or patience to do that. That’s where we come in! 


    ➡️ Are all campaigns automatically accepted after they get submitted on the shop?

    No. Our team members will carefully vet out the campaigns to ensure that brand requirements are valid and acceptable. We would never approve any campaigns that would put anyone on our network at risk, or support content that is violent or discriminatory in nature. We reserve the right to accept or refuse campaigns that don’t fit our vision for UGC SHOP. 


    ➡️ Is UGC SHOP open to only brands and content creators in the USA?

    Most of our content creators are in the US and Canada, however we do operate worldwide!


    ➡️ Who owns the content?

    The brands own the content that they purchase. Please refer to our T&Cs and privacy Policy to learn the specifics. 

     

     

      2. For Content Creators

     

    ➡️ Do I have to be an influencer to apply?

    No, you do not have to be an influencer to join UGC SHOP as you are not required to have a number of followers nor to post the content on any of your profiles. Anyone who enjoys being on camera and has some experience creating engaging content is welcome to apply. We mostly care about your ability to create cool and engaging content with the products we’re offering you.

     

    ➡️ What experience do I need to become a UGC creator?

    There are no requirements to get started, and you don’t need any prior professional experience to work as a UGC creator with us. Anyone can do this! You should obviously be passionate about creating content and experiment with TikTok and some editing apps. But we offer lots of resources, informative blog posts, and creator workshops to help you take your creation skills to the next level. Our content creator briefs also have lots of tips on how to shoot and edit the best UGC content.

     

    ➡️ When you ask about "platforms" on the application, are you asking about the platforms I am comfortable using or the social media I have?

    We usually ask about both! Please provide the social media platforms you have so we can see more of your work. Don’t worry, we don’t ask creators to post the content they create on their accounts.

    We also ask you which platform you’re comfortable with because we also have brands that ask for other content than TikTok content, like YouTube or others. It allows us to better filter the right creator for each project.

     

    ➡️ Why am I being asked to provide my contact info?

    We ask for your contact information so we can reach out to you when we receive a task you might be interested in. After a campaign is submitted into our system, we ping all content creators who fit the requirements our brands are asking for. Content creators have 48 hours to respond to the campaign alert, otherwise their applications will not be accepted. When applying to UGC SHOP, you have the option of choosing your preferred method of communication, or you could completely opt-out.

     

    ➡️ When you ask for a link to previous work, what if I don’t have any? Should I make a demo?

    Yes, exactly! If you don’t have previous videos, it’s totally fine. This doesn’t affect your chances of getting approved. Our goal is to train our creators through our workshops to become really good at creating UGC.

    Once we match them on a project, we allow them to create the content and provide them with revisions to improve, then we edit the content internally to make sure it meets the UGC quality standards.

     

    ➡️ Am I automatically approved to UGC SHOP after I sign up?

    One of our team members review your application first. You will receive an email when you are approved.

     

    ➡️ How do I log in?

    You don’t. After you sign up, you can learn about open brand collaborations that fit your profile in three ways:

    We currently don’t have a dashboard for creators yet, but we are in the process of creating one. Stay tuned!

     

    ➡️ I signed up already but haven’t heard back, what do I do?

    Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about you! We just haven’t matched you with the right opportunity yet. Please nudge us and send us an email to hello@ugc-shop.com telling us what kind of opportunities you’re looking for, and we’ll reach out as soon as we can.

     

    ➡️ What do I do if I want to make any changes to my profile (e.g. upload a different photo/video or change my email address)?

    Email us to hello@ugc-shop.com and we will make the changes on our end.

    Please remember to let us know as soon as possible if you change some key information (e.g. shipping address, contact information, etc.) so you don’t miss out on opportunities!

     

    ➡️ How do I get paid?

    Payments are made after completing a project by Paypal, Transferwise,—or Interac e-transfer if you’re based in Canada. Creators send us an invoice about the project, budget, and deliverables and we update payments bi-monthly (15th and 30th of each month).

    Your invoice must include project name, date, and must be directed to: Kitschy Inc.Please email it to hello@kitschy.ca and once approved, it will be forwarded it to accounting. Payment will be made within 24-48 hours. 

     

    ➡️ How can I make my work stand out?

    Pay extra attention to the basics:

    • Sound. Make sure the sound of your video is loud enough and clean of any background noise.
    • Lighting. When recording, preferably choose to stand facing a source of natural light. That’s unless you need the bad lighting for creative purposes ;)
    • Clarity in your message. Is your diction clear? Do you have a concise message? Do you mention the main characteristics of the product/business?

    And here are some more tips:

    • Think outside the box. Don’t copy trends, adapt them. Use what makes you different from other creators to achieve that.
    • Prioritise view-through, even if it makes your video shorter. Cut out useless pauses and text. 

     

    ➡️ How do I remove the TikTok watermark from my videos?

    We’ve recently launched our TikTok Watermark Removal page! It’s super easy to remove the watermark: just copy the TikTok video’s link, paste it in the tool, and submit. In just a few seconds, you will get the option to download the clean video. And you get to do it in-house. Find the tool here.

     

    ➡️ Can I create UGC videos in a language that isn’t English?

    Absolutely! We create content for brands from all over the world! We work with American, Canadian, Hispanic, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, French, Arabic, and Portuguese! So we’re definitely not limited to one language. It depends on what the brand is looking for and who their target audience is.

     

    ➡️ Can I become a UGC Creator even if I live in [country]?

    Absolutely! We work with creators from all over the world. And in some cases if the creator speaks English but the brand doesn’t ship to your country, we can still match you on projects or some lead generation ones which don’t require us to ship physical products.

     

    ➡️ Can I apply to any task I want?

    No, content creators can only apply to tasks they qualify for. This is why it’s really important to fill out your profile properly to ensure we match you with campaigns and product you will actually enjoy. Once we receive a campaign request that we think you’d be interested in, we notify you by email or text, where you can directly apply to it or pass.

     

    ➡️ Am I automatically approved for a project after I apply?

    One of our team members will get in contact you to verify your application details first. We then review your application and select the top content creators who fit for that specific campaign. Do not take it personally, it’s really based on exact requirements such as this example: female, interested in nutrition, between the ages of 30 to 35, mother, etc.

     

    ➡️ If the project requires featuring the product, how do I receive it?

    After you’ve been approved to a project, you will receive exact details regarding the shipment of the products as well as a content brief!

     

    ➡️ After I create my content, where do I submit it?

    Your casting manager will be reaching out upon approval to explain the process of content submission. Please note you will be sent a drive link in which you can upload all your content. Please refrain from sending wetransfers due to expiration and simply upload them on the provided drive instead.


    ➡️ If I have a question regarding the task, who do I get in touch with?

    ➡️ Do I have to post the content on my own social media channels?

    No, you don't. However, if you are interested in an affiliate opportunity to receive a commission on each sale you generate, please let us know and we will set it up! 

     

     

      3. For Brands



    ➡️ What’s a content package and how do I know which one I need?

    As a brand, you can select whichever content package works best for you. We categorize content into photos, videos, and written testimonials. If you’re unsure of what you’re looking for, an account manager will reach out by phone to discuss our services and ensure we give you the best package suited to your needs.     ➡️ Do you customize the content based on the platform I’m using them on?

    Yes, you can select your preferred video format whether it’s for YouTube, Facebook video ads, Instagram stories, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.


    ➡️ Can I pick the content creators I want?

    We believe there is an abundance of platforms that are self-managed and where you can select from thousands of profiles in there. At UGC SHOP, we distinguish ourselves by providing you with customer service if you do not wish to submit campaigns yourself. We ensure the entire process is handled by one of our team members so you have one less thing to worry about, and you can focus on other aspects of your business. Our clients understand that as creatives and marketers, we have the expertise to identify content creators that fit your target audience, and can instruct to make you great videos or shots. 


    ➡️ How do I ship out the products to content creators?

    Your designated account manager will send you our content creators’ addresses 2 business days after your project is approved. We will ask you to send us the tracking number so we can track the shipments and ensure the package doesn’t get lost!


    ➡️ How long will it take to receive my content?

    You will receive your final content between 7-10 business days after our creators receive their package.


    ➡️ Can I get a refund if I don’t like the content?

    While we ensure all campaign requirements are relayed to the creator and our account managers curate them, you can rest assured that for whatever reasonable situation you don’t like the content, we will revise it, make you a new one, or give you a full refund.

    Please note however that we cannot accept revisions based on information that is presented to us after completion of the brief. Our brand brief is the central document upon which we use the information to ideate, research and come up with scripts for your content. UGC SHOP cannot be held responsible nor can it make free revisions in the situations where the brand or agency has failed to include the right or necessary information on the brief.


    ➡️ What if I want to turn my video into an ad, can you do that for me?

    Absolutely! We can edit or compile UGC content to make you converting video ads for an extra fee. Our agency does not only provide you with creative assets, but we also organize professional product and lifestyle shoots, we design and build e-commerce stores, we create content for social media, and of course, our specialization is in media buying. 


    ➡️ I always need UGC, can I sign up for a monthly subscription?

    As marketers ourselves, we understand how quick you can go through UGC content in your ads and on social media, so we created exclusive packages for our monthly subscribers that provide you with a consistent flow of content for a MUCH better deal.     ➡️ Why should I work with UGC SHOP over other agencies?

    We were the first agency in the world to identify that UGC is a true form of content and brands are asking for it. We launched UGC SHOP at the beginning of the pandemic because we needed to supply our media-buying clients with consistent content, and that was tough to do during the pandemic!

    Creating new content is a lot of work when you are focusing on developing your brand or business. Well, we do all the heavy lifting for you! Sourcing content creators, managing their time and assignments, and making sure they deliver high-quality UGC on time.

    We offer one-off UGC deals or monthly managed services, depending on what fits your business’ need at the moment.

     

    ➡️ How can I make sure I get the best UGC for my audience?

    After you place your order, you will receive an email with a creative brief that we ask you to fill out. This brief contains all the information about your brand/offer and target audience, which allows us to identify the right creators for your campaign. 

    Let us know what your business does, what its vision and mission are, and tell us about your ideal customer: where do they live? How old are they? What do they do? What does your business help them with?

    We will then match these characteristics with creators from our roster. We also go the extra mile and cast new creators if we think they match your business and audience best.

     

    ➡️ How involved will I be in the creation of the UGC I commission?

    Beginning of project: In a form, you provide us with a detailed description of your business, target audience, and what you want to achieve with the commissioned UGC. (We ask all the right questions, don’t worry!) You can also give us examples of content you see as inspiration and words or actions you would like the creators to include or not include in their videos.

    First revision: We submit the content to you for a first revision. (It’s been approved in-house before!)

    Final approval: If you requested any changes, they’ve been applied, and you can now enjoy the final product!

    ➡️ Can I pick the creators for my brands?


    Since we recruit the creators to our community and have worked with them in the past, we believe we have the right expertise to cast the right creators for your projects. We also created this agency to serve as quite the opposite of a self-serve platform, whereby we handle the entire process of casting the creators, producing the content, and submitting them in their final format ready to publish or run as ads. Brands and agencies who work with us are too busy running their own businesses, and trust us in handling what we do best.  

     

    ➡️ How many rounds of revision do I get?

    You only get only one revision (because that’s how much it takes us to get it right!) and we can only revise content in the editing phase. We do not reshoot content unless there’s an error on our end that is related to something clearly mentioned in the brief.

    But hey, that never happens! We follow your brief and directions very closely and work hard to produce content you will be proud of.

     

    ➡️ Will UGC Shop manage my account?

    We don’t directly manage accounts, but we do provide you with all the content you need so the only thing you have left to do is hit “Post”!

    ➡️ Who will take care of the content strategy? Do brands submit their scripts?

    We prefer that our creators experience the brand or the service so they can speak from an authentic experience, rather than sound like a scripted ad. However, if you do have a script in mind, then you can definitely request that we follow it.

     

    ➡️ What material do I need to provide?

    If you want UGC about a specific product, you will be asked to send it to . (Don’t worry, we coordinate shipping!) If it’s a service, you will have to give the creators access to it.

    We will ask you to fill in a form/brief answering some questions about your business, your ideal customers, your preferences when it comes to content, any specific language you want us to use or not use, and more.

    You share the vision, we do the work!

     

    ➡️ Does UGC Shop coordinate the shipping?

    Yes we do! After you fill out the brief, we cast the right creators for you and then send you a "creator send-off sheet" with the creator info. You can just add the tracking info there.

     

    ➡️ Where can I see some of your past work?

    We show some of our work on our website, you can find it on the Our Work page. We also regularly update our TikTok and Instagram accounts with recent campaigns, so check them out!

     

    ➡️ What's the difference between one-time package and the subscribe and save option?

    One-time packages have no commitment. We deliver a number of deliverables that was previously agreed upon and the videos are submitted in their final format. With our subscribe and save option, there is a 3 month commitment, but it provides the client with access to our internal tool the client can pre-approve the final creators and review the creative concepts we came up. This option is great for someone who wants full control over the content creation and wants to be involved in every step of the way. The client will also not only receive the final format of the videos, but will also get access to all the raw content with unlimited usage rights to use and repurpose as they please.


    ➡️ Can I cancel my subscription anytime I want?

    You can always go to your profile, my account, billing and payments, then cancel subscription. You can also email or call your designated account manager at any time.
